A researcher and inventor of natural patterns – this is how Mg.paed. . Diāna Timofejeva describes herself.

Diāna Timofejeva is the author of the Natural Environmental Aesthetics Method, the inventor of the Warmsandbox® warm sand device, and the author of several books. She continues to observe nature with the curiosity of a child, connecting her insights with the latest scientific research.

In her academic role, she is an educator who, since 1985, has dedicated her professional experience to studying human creative interactions with nature.

Since 1992, the study of natural material compositions has evolved through extensive experience and research, eventually forming the Natural Environmental Aesthetics methodology. Over the years, it has become an essential tool for hundreds of specialists in their professional practice. Additionally, it has helped thousands of children strengthen their physical and emotional well-being, develop skills, and rediscover the joy of life.

As a lecturer at the University of Latvia (1993-2007) and a guest lecturer (2007-2023), Diāna has proven that structured and professionally guided interactions with nature and its materials provide a profound experience of nature awareness. This process supports individual development and is a significant component of overall well-being.

Diāna leads the Association for the Study of Natural Environmental Aesthetics, is a member of the Latvian Inventors' Association, the author of numerous training programs for specialists, and the founder of the World Sand Collection in Latvia.
